The Law Offices of Doster & Brown, P.A. traces its roots to November 2017, when W. Woods Doster opened the firm in the historic Buggy Factory Building in Sanford, North Carolina. A board-certified specialist in estate planning and probate law with more than 35 years of practice in Sanford, Woods has long been committed to serving families and fiduciaries throughout Lee, Chatham, Harnett, and Moore counties.
As the firm grew, so did its vision. The Sanford office later relocated to 206 Hawkins Avenue and is now located in the historic Ingram House. Built in 1917 by the Ingram family, the building retains many original features, including the front door, hardwood floors, and leaded glass windows, reflecting the firm’s respect for history, craftsmanship, and community.
Attorney J. Grant Brown joined the firm in 2018, and the partnership continued to develop. In 2023, Woods and Brown formally established the Law Offices of Doster & Brown, P.A. as a boutique law firm focused on estate administration, estate planning, and public fiduciary work. The firm serves as Public Administrator for Lee and Chatham Counties and continues to expand its estate, trust, guardianship, and real estate practice.
